Effective Cancer Preventive Treatment in the Early Stages

Cancer is a dreaded disease with no known cure. Early detection with preventive treatment offers a higher possibility of survival.

There are screening tests that people have been advised to undergo regularly. These tests are quite expensive but the major insurance companies and some government programs cover these costs. Cancer is a fatal disease and the only hope of survival is in the early detection and cancer prevention treatment. Hence it is advisable to do the screening tests as advised.

This affects the South East Asian community popularly and hence the Southern Chinese community in Canada is advised to regularly screen for Nasopharyngeal Cancer. It is a simple procedure and a painless test. An oral swab sample is taken from the back of the throat and sent to the lab for testing. This is a genetic based test and the results usually take a few weeks.
